Saramat (Tou) Ruckaew
As one of the original developers in this partnership, initiator and business director/owner of Tou's Garden, Tou has been responsible for the establishment of the international and domestic market of mangoes and other produce from Tou's Garden.
Tou's previous experience includes 5 years experience in a National Marketing management role in Thailand, a Batchelor of Education from Thailand and an MBA from Australia.
Ian Quin
As the second of the original developers in this partnership, initiator and business director/owner, Ian is presented as Chairman of the compan. Ian previously was for 10 years a Director of Kaltem Australia Pty Ltd, an agricultural development and export company, marketing into the Middle East and South East Asia. He was also founding director of Chemicals Direct Pty Ltd, Thai Australia Nursery Enterprises, Thai Australia Bakeries Ltd and Euphobia Australia Pty Ltd.
Ian has a Diploma of Agriculture, BA (Psyc), B.Commerce and was admitted as a Fellow of Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Gaston Christian
Gaston holds a Diploma of Electrical Engineering ETS from Switzerland. He has lived in the Northern Territory for many years developing a strong affinity with the horticulture industry, being an early member of the NT Rare Fruit Council. Gaston recently joined the team in 2004 to install the stage three irrigation system, subsequently being promoted to, and now the Irrigation Manager of the Acacia Gap project, Tou's Garden.
Wally Grim
Wally was educated in Germany where he obtained his trade papers as a Diesel Mechanic prior to immigrating to Australia where he was later awarded a Master Mechanics Certificate by Caterpillar, Singapore. Wally spent 32 years as Oil Rig Maintenance Supervisor for EXXON Petroleum prior to joining the Tou's Garden team as Assets Manager.
Ian Baker
Ian holds a Masters Degree in Horticulture and was the Principal Horticulturalist with the Northern Territory Department of Primary Industries in the early years of northern horticulture development. He has many years of experience with mangoes both as a scientist and plantation manager. His contribution to the Australian Mango Industry was recently recognised by the Australian Mango Industry Association at their 2009 Conference as one of the Inaugural Industry Awards. Ian holds the position of Community and Government Liaison Manager with Tou's Garden.
Diane Sloan
As our Shed Supervisor for Tou's Gardens, Diane started picking and packing mangoes with us in the early days of 1996, she is now a wealth of history, knowledge and experience in our Shed, able to assist and train our seasonal staff each year. Diane is Canadian born, migrating to Australia when she was 17 years old.
Tai Muangchon Khomklang (Tai)
Tai was born and grew up in Thailand. He joined Tou's Gardens in 2007 as a part time overseas student, studying for his Diploma in Land Management at Charles Darwin University. He graduated in 2010 and now is our full time Farm Supervisor. During the quieter months, he keeps our staff kitchen in supply with beautiful home grown vegetables and fruit.
Maureen Kohlman
Maurren is our Human Resource Manager.
